ThatвЂ™s backed up by 3GB of RAM and what it leads to is more power than you could ever possibly take advantage of, or at least youвЂ™re not likely to need all the power this phone has to offer before you upgrade to something even more powerful. Four cores are clocked 2.0GHz and the other four come in at 1.5GHz, allowing the HTC One M9 to switch between the two sets of cores depending on how much power it needs, so it can conserve battery life when 2.0GHz would be overkill. That means itвЂ™s sharp and large, itвЂ™s also got good colour reproduction and contrast, making it a joy to look at. So in other words itвЂ™s a 5.0-inch 1080 x 1920 Super LCD3 display with a pixel density of 441 pixels per inch. While itвЂ™s expected that a new model of a phone will have a screen thatвЂ™s bigger and/or higher resolution than its predecessor, the HTC One M9 keeps its display exactly the same as the M8. As is the absence of any form of water or dust resistance. They might be a bit much if you prefer an understated phone, but they certainly make the One M9 stand out from the M8.ДЄll in all the HTC One M9 is a design win, but itвЂ™s also disappointingly similar to last yearвЂ™s model and even the original HTC One, which is slightly disappointing. HTC hasnвЂ™t reinvented the wheel here, instead itвЂ™s taken the design of the HTC One M8 and, well, not done very much to it at all. After all this is a company which has come to rival Apple for its smartphone designs and indeed the HTC One M9 is a beautiful thing, but itвЂ™s also a very familiar thing.

The new shooter uses a 20MP, f/2.2 sensor from Toshiba thatвЂ™s capable of 4K video recording, with an optics module that protrudes slightly from the phoneвЂ™s casing. With this yearвЂ™s camera, HTC addresses one of the biggest criticisms of the One M8 and the M7 before it: low resolution.
